Why give?
Giving is our way of sharing our resources together, growing in generosity, to enable us to do all the things we aim to achieve as a church. We can each play our part in the vision of St Paul's by praying, serving and giving towards the work of the church.
Our financial giving enables us to develop and maintain our services, activities, staff and buildings. This includes our Sunday and midweek services, and our ministries and activities with children, families, young people and older people. It also helps to maintain and develop the buildings which give space for activities put on by the church like Art and Crafts, Games Community and the St Paul's Community Kitchen Garden, alongside a space that is used by the wider community.
Volunteers and grants combine with our giving to help us enable Baby Basics and Warm Welcome, showing care and welcome to the community and city. We also support our local Food Bank which provides support and food parcels for people in hardship. For all these things, we maintain warm and welcoming spaces in which they can happen. We also give 10% of regular income away to mission activities locally and overseas.
By giving, whatever the amount, you may be expressing that you belong to our church community, or you may just wish to support the work done in this very mixed area of Leeds. We want to be open and transparent with financial matters, so if you want to see how we spend money alongside a more in depth report on our activities you can download our annual report and accounts.
How can I give?
There are several ways to give with additional instructions below. Those who give regularly help us to plan ahead and, for those eligible, gift aid increases the amount. You can also give in person at church, by cash in the offering plate on the Welcome Desk, by card on our SumUp card reader or on your mobile by using the QR code displayed there. You can give now online either with your card or via BACS bank transfer.
Giving financially is just one way of expressing generosity. If you’re struggling financially or in debt, we encourage you to express generosity in a non-financial way by serving on a team, praying for the Church, or being generous with your time towards others.
Thank you for joining with us to bring good news and practical help to those in our parish.
